Ebay

The funnest thing that I found for sale on eBay was you could pay $1000.00 dollars for a 40 year old women to do a photo shoot that was an hour long. She said on the site that some of her pictures had sold for over $10,00o dollars. In the picture they show of her she looks to be a lot older then a age of 40, and she gives measurements of herself. In the picture provided all you can see is her face and the tops of her shoulders. Therefor you really cant tell if she really fits all the measurements. You also have to pay for the travel of her to come to the place where the photo shoot will be taking place. The funny thing at the end of the description it says "some fettish ok." I just thought this was a really weird add to have on eBay.

Once

I really liked the movie Once. The music in it was really good and I think it helped tie a lot of things together. I liked the plot of the movie it kind of looked like it was going to be predictable but in the end it wasn't. The part I like most was that it seemed like they where going to start dating each other, but they take a sudden turn and they both end up trying to pursue her husband and he decides to go see his ex girlfriend. The movie was really touching on how it tells you to live life to the fullest and do what you really want to do in life and try to pursue it as best as you can. The movies we watched throughout the semester was a really good idea. I liked how it gave us a break from the writing part, and most of the movies tied in or had something to do with what was going on in the class. I think that you showed the right amount of movies though. I think anymore would have been just to much. It was just a good mix to throw into the class schedule. Also, I think the movie selection was done well and none of them where boring.

Hockey Stick

My favorite childhood toy was the first hockey stick my Dad ever bought me. It was an Easton Titan it was red and black with a straight blade. When my Dad first handed me the stick I was in Ah, I didn't know what to say or do. When he cut the stick down to the right length for me i taped it up and went out into the drive way and started shooting pucks. The reason for me wanting a hockey stick at the time was I always watched professional hockey games with my Dad on T.V. I remember every single game I told him I wanted to be like the guys on the ice. So I think his way of trying to make me feel like I was on the ice with them was him buying me the hockey stick. A year later I joined the local ice hockey league in town, and got to use my stick in a real life situation and I loved it. I still remember that first day of hockey practice when I was 3. Still today I have the Easton Titan in my garage at home.

The Office

The show I would convince you to watch would be The Office. The Office has many great qualities to offer, it has great humor and also a great story line. If you are looking for a good laugh from a long day at work this would be the show to do the trick. The show is about a group of people in the office setting at work. They have a boss that is not very smart and always puts his own input into everything people do during the day, and he most likely ends up making himself look like a fool. Also, during the show they have many office meetings that end up in mayhem or just lots of humor. So if you are looking to watch a funny show after a long day at work or the office I would recommend watching the sitcom The Office.

Emotion

One of the most extreme emotions I have every felt was when our hockey team beat St. Cloud Cathedral with 16 seconds left in the third period. The whole entire game was back an forth for the most part, but they ended up out shooting us by about 12 shots. The reasoning for the great emotion though is because with the victory we won the conference. In the third period we ended up with a face off in our end of the ice with about 25 seconds left. Our coach told us just to tie are man up after the draw and do what we can to eat the puck in the corner and shoot for overtime. On the face off we won it cleanly and got a break up the ice. My friend Nick ended up getting an edge on there defencemen and got a good angle shot of and he scored. Right when I saw the puck go in the net and Nick's hand flew in the air the biggest rush of emotions and energy hit me and our team stormed the ice and we all piled up in the corner. I had never had such a good feeling hit me in my life like that one did. I think the reason for it being such a good feeling was we where the under dog in the game and know one expected us to win. When that buzzer sounded at the end of the game there wasn't one person from our team and our fan that didn't have to biggest smile on there face. I believe that is my greatest happy emotion I have ever had.

Advertising

Advertisement does not play a big role in my life. I really don't pay much attention to commercials newspaper adds or any forms of advertisement. There are some though that tend to catch my eye and spark and interest to me. Some advertisements that catch my eyes tend to be ones that are related to up coming sports games or sporting equipment. Most advertisements that I end up liking come from Gatorade. Most of there ads are sports based and show clips of sporting highlights or athletes just being active. I would say my all time favorite commercial would be when ESPN does there ultimate highlight commercial where it shows all the big sports highlights from the past week or month and they pack it all into little short clips of what happened. They always have a catchy music playing while it plays. So for the most part unless the advertisement has something to do with sports I'm generally not interested.

Obama King Jr.

After reading the to arguments I realized that they both had a lot in common. They where both very well composed. They both had very good arguments about the racism and segregation problems we have in the United States. I believe that's Obama's Speech was done better then Mr. King's. Obama had more points from both side of the argument; where King Jr. just had better view points from the black community, and it seemed to me in some parts of his it was just a little to one sided. They both had there different view points though because of the different time periods. Back when King Jr. was around the racism and segregation was a much bigger deal. So it was a bigger problem and it affected more people.
I also liked how they discussed the racism in there own different ways. Obama tied in his election campaign. Where King was addressing the public about his concern with the racism threat. I believe that the weakest point of Obamas speech was that he was apologising a lot and bringing his campaign into the argument. Where I feel that Kings argument was more one sided on how bad the current state of racism and prejudice was a terrible, but don't get me wrong it was he just didn't take both sides into the argument enough.
